Thank you to NHS at time of grief

MY wife Dorothy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2012 at Wansbeck General Hospital.

At the age of 63 it was devastating, and unfortunately due to her weakness no treatment could be offered.

But from the minute of her diagnoses a plan was put into place for me to nurse her at home.

The point of this letter is after hearing and seeing so much negative publicity about the NHS, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to all concerned in her care.

Well done everybody that was involved throughout in Northumberland NHS, and also the Macmillan nurses.

Other people may have different opinions, but this is my experience.

Thanks from her husband Jim and family.

Dorothy died April 7, 2012.
