The final call for top talent to enter event

THIS is the last chance for any hopefuls out there to prove they have what it takes to be Northumberland’s top talent.

The deadline for entries to Talent Northumberland 2012, run by Northeast Press, in association with Northumberland County Council, is Friday.

And while we have plenty of entries from singers, we also want dancers, jugglers, choirs, comedians or even dancing dogs who might have been inspired by Britain’s Got Talent’s Pudsey.

Whatever your talent may be, no matter how obscure, we want to see it. After all, variety is the spice of life.

And there is a great prize up for grabs for the top act.

The winner will receive a 12-month management contract with One Voice Productions, which specialises in nurturing new talent, and the chance to perform at the Miss Northumberland final at Newton Hall on Friday, June 29.

Just upload a video of your act to file-sharing website YouTube and e-mail the link to lisa.aynsley@northeast-press.co.uk or return the form printed on this page.

A shortlist will be drawn up from the best videos and, depending on the number of entries, heats will be staged.

The final will take place at the Alnwick Playhouse on Friday, June 8, where the best contestants will battle it out for the title.

Under 16s must have the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the competition and usual terms and conditions apply.

The closing date for entries is Friday, May 18, and the judges’ decision is final.
