MUSICAL instruments and equipment worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a country pub.

Three thieves are believed to have cut their way into a marquee outside the Three Horse Shoes pub at High Horton between 12.50am and 1.30am on Sunday.

Their haul, worth about £3,000, included a Gallien-Krueger bass head, JBL black SR series speaker, 12in JBL monitor, Marshall twin guitar speaker cabinet, Fender twin guitar speaker, gold Sonor drum kit and three cymbal stands.

Police are appealing for any potential witnesses to come forward.

Pc Bryan Fletcher said: “The pub was holding a beer and music festival and had a marquee in place over the weekend for the event.

“From CCTV, we know that three men got into the marquee by cutting their way in through one of the panels and have caused around £2,000 damage.

“We’re looking into the possibility that they may have attended the event, and inquiries are ongoing.

“If anyone has any information on the theft or the whereabouts of this distinctive equipment, they should get in touch.”

Witnesses are asked to call the police on 101 ext 69191.
