These streets in Blyth are filthy

I read with great interest the letter by John Wilson (News Post Leader, May 29).

He said Blyth is almost empty of retail shops, which I too find depressing as a resident.

What I find ‘soul destroying’ is the streets are extremely dirty.

The filth and dust gathered along many kerbs is an eyesore. Surely this cannot be seen as healthy? Not to mention unattractive.

Do those in charge of this at the council come and look?

Carlton Street and adjoining streets are left to deteriorate.
