Pupils at a south east Northumberland school have been hearing about learning disabilities through art.

The Bedlingtonshire Community High School students enjoyed a visit from Headway Arts Theatre Company, who performed the play Lives Worth Living.

The work had been adapted by Headway from an original script by Belgrade Theatre, which looks at the relationship between two different people.

Headteacher Stephen Griffiths said: “It was an interesting and thought–provoking play, and a very worthwhile experience.”
