A festive fair at a Northumberland College campus attracted around 8,000 visitors.
The two-day Kirkley Hall Countryside Christmas Fair saw visitors from all over the region attended the fair and enjoyed a range of entertainment that included entrance to the Kirkley Hall Zoological Gardens, a Santa’s Grotto, fairground rides, a ferris wheel, face painting, and arts and crafts workshops.
More than 130 local businesses showcased their products and services including a wide variety of handmade gifts, toys, authentic crafts and delicious foods from around the region.
Jenny Cairns, operations and events manager at Kirkley Hall, said: “The Countryside Christmas Fair was a huge success with more visitors than ever this year.
“It was fantastic to see so many happy, smiling faces enjoying themselves at the Kirkley Hall campus.”

“We’re proud to support rural enterprise and help so many small businesses showcase their locally produced products and services.”
