A FIVE-month-old baby in Cramlington has been helping keep up a family tradition after being christened in a 100-year-old gown.

Torey-Lee Allison, of Lanercost Park, wore the gown, which originates from New Cumnock in Ayrshire, Scotland, for her christening at the Welcome Church in Station Road, Cramlington.

Torey-Lee’s grandma Yvonne Park said: “The gown came from my husband’s family and his late father was the first baby to wear the gown 100 years ago.

“My daughter Terri, Torey-Lee’s mum, wore the gown 25 years ago when she was christened at St Nicholas’s Church in Cramlington.”
