Two men charged over death of teenager

TWO men charged with causing a teenager’s death by dangerous driving are due to appear in court today (Thursday).

Jamie Watters, of Cramlington, was killed in a collision in Dudley Lane, Seaton Burn, on October 26 last year.

The 19-year-old, the front-seat passenger in a silver Ford Fiesta, died after it careered off the road and crashed into a planter and road sign.

Robert John Atkinson, 20, of Oswestry Place in Cramlington, and Christopher Foreman, 21, of Longhirst, Killingworth, were both due to appear at North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court in North Shields today.
