Two rats quickly can become 200

AS a member of the public I thought it was my duty to inform someone that I had seen rats running along a back lane beside Ridley Park in Blyth.

To my astonishment on informing the local authority the response I was given was if you are complaining about rats in a property there is no charge, but if you are complaining about rats on the public path there is a charge of £46.95p.

What do they want the people in Blyth to do, ignore the fact that two rats become 200 rats and an epidemic?

What is this town coming to – where is the respect and care in the community?
