A bomb disposal team from Catterick carried out a controlled explosion on a suspect package found in Northumberland.
Police were called to Cowpen Road, Blyth, at 6.30pm on Tuesday after a suspicious package was found.
Officers attended and cordoned off the area as a precaution while enquiries were carried out to establish what the package was and whether it posed any cause for concern.
As our video, filmed by John Tuttiett, shows, Explosives Ordnance Disposal attended and as a precaution a controlled explosion was carried out to allow it to be examined.
A section of Cowpen Road, near to Blyth Service Station, was closed for a short time to allow the incident to be dealt with.
