A group of Seaton Delaval and Holywell residents have joined forces to create a new association for the residents of the two villages.
The Seaton Delaval and Holywell Residents’ Association held its annual general meeting at the start of June and has already begun planning how to improve the area.
The association is now encouraging other local residents to get involved, if not by joining the committee, then by attending the monthly public meetings to have some influence on the group’s aims.
Stephen John Stanners, chairman of the association, said that the group had already made “amazing changes in the community, one of the biggest being the refurbishment of Astley Park”.
Public meetings are held on the second Monday of every month, from 7pm, in the main hall of Whytrig Middle School. For details, contact Stephen on email@example.com, or visit www.seatondelavalholywell.webs.com.
