Visitors help pupils make European links

Youngsters have been celebrating new found friendships around Europe.

Pupils at The Dales School in Blyth marked the end of their European Comenius project ‘Let us Meet, Play and Make Friends’.

Students from schools in Germany, Turkey and Spain visited the school last week, and they marked the occasion with a Festival of Play.

In the morning, the children took part in sporting competitions with their visitors and enjoyed a picnic lunch with a selection of goodies from around Europe.

In the afternoon, the y took part in a range of creative and sports activities including dance demonstrations and drop-in workshops, games from around Europe, art activities, giant board games, sensory/messy play, garden fun and obstacle courses.
