Care staff at a Morpeth nursing home put their best foot forward to help raise funds for support their residents.
The staff from Northlands Nursing Home walked from the home in Kings Avenue through Ashington, Guide Post, along Morpeth Road and through Stobhill.
They covered a distance of around 20 miles, completing the walk in five hours.
The staff who took part were Ferdinand Luzon, Glynis Finlay, Kellie Nicholson, Cassie Armstrong, Susan Hodgson and Carol Forster.
And they were delighted to raise £400 for the dementia floor – called ‘The Haven’ – with the money being used to buy new equipment and signage that has been especially designed for people with dementia.
