Police are issuing a warning after prescription medication was stolen in a house burglary in Bedlington between Saturday, December 28, and Wednesday, January 1.
Thieves stole strong medication used in the treatment of cancer – five boxes of 50ML Methotrexate.
Officers are carrying out enquiries to try and trace the medication. They are also warning of the dangers the medication could pose.
Any concoction of medication is potentially extremely dangerous, and it’s equally dangerous for people to take medication which has not been prescribed to them.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of this stolen medication should contact police as soon as possible. Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
