Determined Labour candidate Scott Dickinson said he will continue to try to convince people that the Party is interested in the north Northumberland people, after he finished third in the Berwick election.

Mr Dickinson, who took 6,042 of the votes, also insisted that he will make a good MP for the area in the future.

Before the result, he told the Gazette that he was disappointed by the beating that Labour has taken on a national scale.
