Where have the gardeners gone?

I WOULD like to ask if there are any gardeners left in Seghill?

I read (News Post Leader, September 6) that the residents are actually complaining about the amounts of free horse manure being deposited upon their streets and pavements.

Speaking as someone who once drove from Blyth to Netherwitton on the promise of a sack of horse manure, I am amazed that gardeners aren’t out with their little shovels scooping up the valuable organic fertiliser to add to their rose gardens.

OK, I agree it’s wrong to park horses at the bus shelter, but 60-litre bags of horse manure currently cost £6.99 each and the horses of Seghill are giving it away for free.
