Windows and cars damaged in one night

VANDALS caused damage running into hundreds of pounds when they smashed a number of windows in one area of Bedlington.

In the early hours of Tuesday, March 15, someone threw a large stone through the front window of a takeaway in Front Street East.

Then another stone was thrown through the front window of a shop in Front Street West around the same time.

Following these attacks, the windows of two cars parked in Front Street, were also damaged by vandals.

Bedlington Neighbourhood Sergeant Dave Morrison said: “We are carrying out enquiries in the area, identifying witnesses and possible CCTV in order to find out who is responsible for these mindless damages.

“If anyone has any idea who damaged either the shops or the cars then I’d ask them to contact us.”
