‘Wrong edition’ of Highway Code?

Have your say

MY daughter who is learning to drive asked me to get her a copy of the Highway Code the next time I was in Newcastle.

She was very excited when I gave it to her, and wanting to pass her test as soon as possible she started to read it immediately.

But after about ten minutes of scanning through it she started to complain that I had bought the wrong edition, saying that the book I had given her said that cars should not park on double yellow lines, park on pavements, double park, park in bays for the disabled or park on bends in the road.

She asked me to take it back and get her the Ashington edition as this kind of parking was obviously allowed here, as no one is ever prosecuted.
