CHARITABLE youngsters have raised almost £1,000 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

A fundraising Christmas fair held at Blyth School Community College raised more than £730, and a bag back by Year 11 students added just over £230.

Blyth mayor Bob Parker was among those at the fair, held at the school’s open learning centre.

Staff and students have also been supporting St Oswald’s Hospice in Gosforth, raising a further £700.
