ABUSE: Staff came to the rescue

I would like to pass on my thanks to the security guard and trolley handlers at Blyth Asda for helping my daughter on Saturday dinner time.

While walking her dog, she was verbally abused by three male teenagers near the main entrance at Asda. When she ignored them and walked on, she was cut off and surrounded by them near the petrol station.

A member of staff came to her aid and when they were abusive to him, he radioed for security. They promptly came to help and escort them away.

On the downside, it shows the state of today’s society when on a busy Saturday dinner time, with numerous cars going in and out, a group of teenage lads can surround a young woman, who was obviously frightened and distressed, and not one member of the public went to help, or even enquire if she needed help.

Many thanks to the Asda staff for helping my daughter, and shame on you for those who saw what was going on and did nothing.
