I agree with the letter from Coun Margaret Richards and the major issue we have with dog dumps across our great county, (News Post Leader, January 26).
I would like to nominate the Newbiggin promenade for the dog dump capital of Northumberland, followed by the A196 path adjacent to the Pastures Estate at Guide Post, and my third nomination goes to Woodhorn Drive in Stakeford.
Obviously, there must be other great locations that sadly fall into this category so please respond with your nominations.
I would like the council to raise its game in eradicating this public health menace by deploying some of the covert cameras it uses to catch fly-tippers.
Surely it isn’t beyond the wit of man to introduce a strategy to catch some of these culprit dog owners and prosecute them.
We wait with bated breath to read the account of the first council dog dumping prosecution in this great newspaper.
