LIFEBOATS: Support is saving lives

The committee of the Ashington Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) would like to thank the people of Wansbeck for their support in 2016.

We collected a total of £3735.93.

In 2016 the RNLI ensured that lifeboats were launched 8,300 times, with lifeboat crews and lifeguards saving the lives of more than 450 people and helping or rescuing 30,000 more.

These first class life-saving rescues would not be possible without the generosity of the general public.

Thank you again for your support and I hope you will be as generous in 2017.

If you would like to help, have a free presentation about the service or Grace Darling, or visit a working station, please ring Mavis Crudace on 01670 815995.
