Look out for the 20,000 crocuses

ON behalf of the Rotary Club of Blyth, may we remind your readers to look out for the 20,000 crocuses which were planted around the borough in the ‘Focus on the Crocus, Thanks for Life/End Polio Now’ campaign.

February 23 was ‘Rotary Day’ and the Rotary Club of Blyth has a display stand in the foyer at ASDA giving examples of the work of Rotary both locally and internationally, and we are also collecting for the campaign, which started 18 years ago to eliminate polio from the world. Only four more countries to go.

Nationally, more than three million crocuses were planted and Rotary Day will be recognised all over the world.
