OUTING: Centre is underrated

editorial image

Our Golden Age Forum recently visited the Washington Wetland Centre and we were treated like royalty.

From all the otters being fed to the various species of wildlife, it was a pleasant surprise to watch.

There were geese, flamingos and ducks, to mention but a few, let alone the insect world.

We loved seeing the families, mams and dads taking their young children to watch and interact with the beautiful animals.

It was a treat we never expected.

May we thank all the staff for their attention and consideration to our needs.

We think the Wetland Centre is very underrated and we want to go again for things we missed, especially the surrounding flora and fauna.

Plus, it’s a very good day out for families.
