Support wanted with fundraising

I AM writing to ask readers to support CLIC Sargent, the cancer charity for children and young people, by getting behind Yummy Mummy Week 2011, which runs from March 26, to Sunday, April 3 – Mother’s Day.

The week is all about mums having fun hosting their own fundraising events and spending quality time with their children, family and friends.

All the money raised will help CLIC Sargent provide clinical, practical and emotional support for children and young people with cancer.

There are lots of ways you can support Yummy Mummy Week – organise your own fundraiser such as a pamper night, a coffee morning or hold a sponsored walk in your wellies.

Last year mums from the north east pulled out all the stops as part of Yummy Mummy Week.

Fundraising events ranged from make-over evenings to dress pink at work days, raising nearly £2,500.

The children and young people we support are at the heart of what we do, and these structured sessions mean we can ask for their views and develop our services accordingly.

What could be better than spending some quality time with friends and family while raising money for families affected by childhood cancer at the same time?

To get involved visit www.yummymummy.org.uk or call 08451 206658 to register for a fundraising pack.
