TRAFFIC: Drivers with little respect

Have your say

It is becoming the norm to expect impatient drivers, who have either come off the A189 or from Bedlington towards Blyth and use the roundabout near ASDA, to go down the right-hand lane to go all the way around the roundabout to continue down Cowpen Road, adding to the traffic jam they have helped to create.

It was even worse that on one particular day when a Northumbria Police car that was right behind me completely ignored what was happening.

Can the roundabout be removed and have traffic lights installed, with a barrier between the lanes to stop those committing the offence in the first place?

It is my understanding that each offence carries three points on your licence and a £60 fine.

Personally, as a driving licence is a privilege, not a right, I think the licence should be revoked forever if the driver has so little respect for it and the other drivers on the road.

And if their job relies on it, then more fool them.
