Blyth seconds complete double over Monkseaton seconds

On a wet wicket, Blyth seconds beat Monkseaton seconds by four wickets.

Blyth won the toss and put the home side in and they were dismissed for 59 with only two batsmen reaching double figures.

For Blyth, Kevin Thompson took 1-17, Andy Rowell 3-16, Arthur Gill 5-8 and James Stewart 1-17.

Blyth did not have it all their own way when replying as tey lost six wickets.

But Ryan Kirkup (19), Rory O’Connor (21 no) and Colin Blackett (16 no) saw them home.
