Blyth take Thomas Knight Memorial Hospital Cup

On Sunday, The Thomas Knight Memorial Hospital Cricket Challenge Cup was played for the first time in more than 50 years.

The format was an eight-a-side competition held at Blyth’s Plessey Road ground.

The competition was being run by Northumberland Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Northumberland Cricket Board.

Three sides took part, Bomarsund, New Hartley and Blyth, and the home side ran out winners after the round robin competition.
