Comprehensive cup win for Bedlington

BEDLINGTON Cricket Club won the Northumberland League Thomas Wilson Cup with a nine-wicket win over Alnwmouth & Lesbury.

In the final at Jesmond, Bedlington restricted the opposition to 114-8 in their 20 overs.

They then hit the required runs for the loss of only one wicket in 15.5 overs.

With the ball, Craig Robinson took 4-22 while batsmen Shaun McCafferty and Kevin Harnett both hit half centuries.
