ASHINGTON seconds won their fourth game of a weather interrupted season on Saturday, led by a crucial fifth wicket partnership between Scott Dunn and Stephen Williams.

Rain in Durham once again played a part, reducing the match to 35 overs per side.

But the home side amassed 171 -6 with contributions from Nevin (51 not out), Dargue 39, Moody 32 and Wilson 30 whilst Williams took 4-20.

In reply, the Colliers required 60 to win from the final ten overs but Dunn and Williams made light work of things, the pair steering their side home with five overs to spare.

Dunn ended unbeaten on 63 with Williams undefeated on 37.

On Saturday Ashington seconds are at home to Whickham.
