Blyth recorded their first win of the season at Corbridge on Saturday thanks to a five-wicket performance from Surg Singh.
Corbridge batted first after winning the toss and lost two early wickets with Kemp and Ebdale taking a wicket each.
Perry and Fowler then put on 58 for the third wicket before Singh was brought on and changed the course of the game.
He struck with his fourth ball, sending Perry back for three. Four balls later Fowler went for 51 with the score on 68 before the new batsmen went first ball.
Skipper Lawrence then took two wickets in his next over to put the home side at 69-7.
And it was not long before Singh had his fourth and fifth wickets before Lawrence took the final wicket as Corbridge were dismissed for 81. Extras were the second top score with 15.
Singh’s final figures were five overs, four maidens, five wickets for two runs. Lawrence finished with 3-30.
Blyth’s reply was not good either, they were four wickets down after seven overs with only 15 on the board.
Lawrence and Quinn pulled the batting around, the former with 24 including two big sixes.
Quinn slowly eased Blyth towards the winning post, despite still losing partners. Kemp scored 10 as Blyth finally gained the win in the 29th over with Quinn 20 not out.
Pick of the bowling for Corbridge was Perry with 4-26 and Dover 3-36.
