Ashington CFC have been handed a home draw in the second round of this season’s FA Carlsberg Vase.
The Colliers will take on Northern Counties East League premier division side Worksop Parramore at Woodhorn Lane on Saturday, November 16.
The Nottinghamshire based side, who are currently ninth in their league table, defeated Runcorn Linnets 3-1 on Saturday.
Ashington manager Gary Middleton gave his reaction on Monday afternoon when he said: “I’m quite pleased with the draw.
“It’s a home tie, which is all you ask for, and it’s against a team from outside the area.
“However, as normal, we’ll be approaching the game in the usual manner and will certainly not be taking anything for granted.”
