In the first semi-final of the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League George Davison Cup, Ashington RAOB just managed to get past Broomhill North End Trap by the odd goal in three.

Ben Harmison socred both for the Buffs, the winner with the final kick of the game. John Robinson was on target for North End.

They will play the winner of next week’s other semi between Amble Tavern and Blyth Town Sunday in the final.

In the last quarter-final of the Eric Anderson Cup, North Shields Pineapple beat Bedlington Breakers 3-2 with goals from Les Thompson (2) and Grant Starling. On target for Breakers was Andrew McLennen (2).

In the JD Marnock Cup quarter-finals, Bedlington Market Tavern beat Ellington Plough 4-3 after extra-time. Jonny Barrett (2), Jordan Cuthbertson and Bradley Richardson scored for Tavern, with Plough’s goals from Jordan Dodds, Max Robinson and Jack Hunter.

Another Bedlington side to reach the semi-finals was Social Club with a 2-1 win over Earsdon Red Lion. On target for Social Club were Adam Harvey and Jamie Patterson. Mitchell Renney scored for Lion.

In the Premier division, Amble Tavern movedged closer to the title with an 11-goal romp against Cramlington Green. Scoring the goals were Josh Hay (4), Sean Taylor, Ryan Douglas, Ross Straughan, Bradley Wake, Mathew Graham, Liam Brookes and Joe Henderson.

In division one, Whitehouse Ashington won 3-0 at home against Bebside Inn, with goals from Jordan Lashley, Michael Freathy and Michael Angus.
