THERE is a small break away group at the top of the MB Socca Leagues first division as Ashalona FC caught the eye last Thursday night as they produced some clinical finishing to see off Barca Newsham.

Ashalona raced into a 2-0 lead inside the first five minutes and added two more to eventually win 4-1.

Level at the top with them are current champs Real Ashington FC as they were awarded a 3-0 victory over ACE United.

Station FC continued their great start and manager Gav will be well pleased with his team as they saw off Ashington All Stars 2-0 to go joint top at this early stage of the season.

Real Kettle Chips were also awarded a 3-0 victory as their oppenents Bubbles FC struggled with injuries and could not field a team.

Orgainsers Chris and Graham are looking for new teams to join the leagues played on the 3G surface with the leagues and referees affiliated to the NFA.
