LAST Thursday night saw a great performance in the MB Socca Leagues by recently promoted Station Boys to gain a good scalp by beating last year’s champions Base FC 4-0.

They secured their first win of the new season in division one with some clinical finishing.

The spectators at The Hirst Welfare Centre witnessed another goal avalanche as recently crowned champions Real Ashington are still on top of their game as they crushed The Whipping Boys 5-1 to remain at the top.

Meanwhile Multiple Scoregasms recorded a fine 3-0 win against North Seaton Elephant.

In division two, Spartan Hatbreath notched their first goals and points of the season as they found their goalscoring touch with some neat football to defeat Station FC 4-2.

Station’s continuous rotation of subs failed to prevent them from a defeat, while one team member was disciplined and banned by the referee at the end of the game.

The Doggers won 2-0 to stay mid-table as they showed some spirit against Ashington All Stars.

New team V & N Jewellers got off to a flier as they defeated top of the table Brazilliant 2-0, and they could be a force to be reckoned with as some of their players should some neat touches.
