Only one game was played in the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League premier division as Forest Hall saw off a weakened Ashington Bubbles 6-1.

On target for the home were Liam Watts (2), Michael Pears, Paul Errington, Dean Devlin and Michael Jordan. Liam Carr scored the Bubbles consolation.

In division one, Blyth Last Orders only need a point from their remaining games to win the division.

Red Lion Bedlington can still mathematically catch them, but Last Orders would have to lose all their games and have a far superior goal difference.

At the weekend Last Orders beat High Street 4-1 in heavy rain. Goals for Last Orders came from Mathew Crook (2), Andrew Scott and an own goal. Anthony Goldie scored for High Street.

Newsham Victory won 5-1 at home against Ashington Northern with goals from David Lillico (2), Reece Brown, Darren Lee and Daniel James. David Hepple was on target for Northern.

On Sunday the league will be holding the last two finals at Bedlington Terriers’ Welfare Park.

At 10.30am, AE Phoenix Central and Blyth High Street meet in the JD Marnock Cup, sponsored by Reay Security.

Then at 2.30pm, Burradon and New Fordley and Forest Hall CC compete for the George Davison Cup, sponsored by Port Training Services.
