BOTH Blyth Spartans FC and Ashington CFC are through to the next round of the FA Cup after winning their respective ties on Saturday.
Spartans came away from Northern Premier League side Whitby Town with a 2-1 win in the third qualifying round.
First half goals from Michael Tait and Chris Emms proved to be enough to see Blyth through, although The Seasiders pulled a goal back in the second half.
Ashington, meanwhile, produced a superb performance to shock Blue Square Bet North Guiseley 1-0 at Woodhorn Lane.
Jamie Clarke continued his excellent run of form with the only goal of the game in the first half.
Fellow Northern League side Spennymoor Town lost 3-1 at Witton Albion.
Spartans and Ashington will now go into the hat for Monday’s draw.
The victories mean the pair are only one win away from the first round proper when the Football League sides enter the competition.
The fourth qualifying round is due to take place on Saturday, October 29.
