Colliers head south in Vase

ASHINGTON CFC face a long journey to Milton Keynes in the fourth round of the FA Carlsberg Vase after being drawn against Newport Pagnell Town.

Colliers boss Gary Middleton said: “I’m happy with the draw although it would have been nicer had we been given a home tie.

“Make no mistake about it – it will be a tough game as Newport Pagnell are in the same league as Long Buckby who knocked us out of the competition last year.”

The Buckinghamshire side are currently sixth in the United Counties League.

The game is to be played on Saturday, January 21.
