BLYTH Rangers Deportivo Under-14scame out on top in a hard fought game against Kingston Park.

A tight opening saw few chances before the home side took the lead with a well struck free kick from distance which gave Alex Cockburn in the Rangers goal no chance.

This brought an immediate response from Rangers with Jack Bell scoring with a well placed shot from the edge of the box after good work by Reece Holliday.

However, a back pass by Jamie Worton deceived Cockburn and the ball rolled into the net to put Kingston Park back in front.

Phoenix Telfer hit the inside of the post for Blyth just before the whistle went for half-time.

Tom Fulthorpe played in Halliday who made it 2-2 before a scramble in the Blyth box saw the home side regain the lead.

Straight from the restart, man of the match Halliday released Telfer who made it 3-3 before Shane Clough scored the decisive goal for Rangers with a powerful right foot shot.
