Douglas departs Terriers

BEDLINGTON Terriers FC have parted company with midfielder Dean Douglas.

Douglas made 16 appearances for the club since joining in the summer of 2011 and scored four times, but has made a New Year switch to Gillford Park.

Manager Tony Lowery is disappointed to see the back of Douglas but understands the decision behind the move.

He said: “Dean is a great lad who has given 100% for the club since the day he signed, its just unfortunate that the travel and his job meant he wasn’t always available.

“I would like to wish Dean good luck for the future.”

The Terriers will face Gillford Park in the third round tie of the Brooks Mileson Memorial League Cup at Welfare Park on a date yet to be arranged.
