Ellington earn excellent point

ELLINGTON Juniors extended their unbeaten run to four games with a thrilling 2-2 draw against a Cramlington Juniors side who had not dropped any points this season.

Ellington took the lead early in the first half with Joe Beattie finishing off a sweeping move.

The score remained 1-0 at the interval thanks to some fine defensive work by Reece Watson.

Cramlington hit the woodwork three times in the second half before equalising, but Beattie capped a fine individual performance to fire home his second before Cramlington levelled again in the last minute.

Ellington are away to Cramlington Town on Sunday.
