GUISELEY boss Steve Kittrick believes Ashington have got every chance of going through to the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time in 50 years when they take on Grimsby Town in the fourth qualifying round clash at Blundell Road on Saturday.
Kittrick’s outfit went out at the last hurdle after Jamie Clarke’s first half goal was enough to send the Colliers through.
He said: “I think Ashington have got every chance of progressing.
“I was impressed with them. They deserved to win on the day against us as they had a lot more going for them than we had and it was a good display by them.
“Nobody can rule anyone out of the competition and there will be more shocks in FA Cup before it is won.
“Grimsby will be a well organised side – they are a full-time outfit – but if Ashington get about them then anything can happen on the day.”
