MB Socca Leagues had the pleasure of a full-time professional taking part in the competition last Thursday night as the leagues entered their penultimate week.

A Hull City player top billed in an exciting display for Sparta Hatbreath to notch all three goals in what was a thrilling advertisement for the leagues. The game with North Seaton Elephant eventually ended 3-3.

Division one champions Real Ashington confirmed their status as top dogs with a convincing 6-2 win over last year’s title holders Base FC.

Second division Station Boys, already confirmed as champions, won convincingly as they put five past The Doggers with only one in reply.

Runners up The Whipping Boys have had a good season and they had had it tough against Brazilliant despite going two up with only five minutes to play.

The determination of Brazilliant was evident and towering brothers Simon and Paul combined in the dying minutes to snatch a dramatic 2-2 draw.

Ashington all Stars and A Town Rangers had a share of the spoils as both settled for a point as they drew 2-2.

The last week of the season is next week and there are spaces for the following week of the competitive leagues.
