THE MB Socca Thursday night six-a-side leagues entered week two of the new season at the Hirst Centre in Ashington and division one kicked off with a bang.

Last season’s champions Real Ashington took on runners-up V & N Jewellers in a game which saw seven goals in total.

Real Ash appeared to have secured a 3-3 draw with a late penalty, but a last-minute screamer from V & N ensured a 4-3 victory to Nghia’s team.

The second game saw Station Boys beat newly promoted Station FC 3-1.

The final match in the top flight was won by a single goal as last season’s division two champions The Whipping Boys beat Multiple Scoregasms 1-0.

Division two commenced with Ashington All-Stars pulling off their second win in a row to stay joint top as they beat Newsham 2-0.

Joint top also but ahead now by one goal are Bankhouse as they got a 3-0 win over A-Town Milan.

Third and level also at the top are new side Bayern Neverluson, who notched up their second win in two games by beating last season’s relegated ACE United 2-0.
