New Hartley Juniors went goal crazy on Saturday with their biggest win of the season in a 11-0 victory over a shell-shocked Chester-le-Street.

The match was switched to the 3G pitch in the shadows of Lumley Castle and Durham’s Riverside cricket ground due to the Cestrians’ waterlogged pitch.

Hartley striker Adam Bains led the way with a three-goal blast in the first 30 minutes with Toy Spratt, Tom Potter and a Jak Ditchburn double making it 7-0 at the break.

Immeaidietly after the break, substitute Callum Johnston made it eight with his first kick of the game, and new signing Tom Skidmore got his first and second goals for the club to make it ten with Johnston getting his second and Hartley’s 11th.

This Saturday Hartley are away to Willington with a 2pm kick-off.
