Next stop Cornwall as Ashington head south west in FA Vase

ASHINGTON’S reward for overcoming AFC Rushden & Diamonds in Saturday’s FA Vase third round is a trip to Cornwall to face Bodmin Town.

The Colliers went into Monday lunchtime’s draw courtesy of an Andrew Johnson winner deep into injury time.

Bodmin are current leaders of the South West Peninsula League Premier Division.

On Saturday, they beat Downton 2-0 in the third round.

The trip to the south west of England will be one of more than 900 miles for the Ashington faithful.

The fourth round tie will be played on Saturday, January 19.
