Real clinch title early doors

TEAM of the season by far in the MB Socca Leagues is Real Ashington and they coasted to the division one title again.

They were crowned champions with five games to go as they retain their 100 per cent record.

Last Thursday night Multiple Scoregasms could not stop the Real juggernaut as they won 9-3 at The Hirst Welfare Centre.

Going for the runners-up slot are Station Boys who recorded a 3-0 victory over North Seaton Elephant.

They are looking over their shoulders though as Base FC want that acclaim and they stay third six points behind after a great 5-2 win over The Whipping Boys.

V & N Jewellers look red hot favourites to take the division two crown as they defeated Brazilliant 6-2 to stretch their lead to 12 points with seven games to play.

In second are Sparta Hatbreath, looking to return to the top flight at the first attempt as they defeated Red Devils 4-1 to move two points ahead of third placed Station FC, who had to settle for a share of the spoils as they were involved in a cracking advertisement for the leagues in a 3-3 draw with Ashington All Stars.

With one immediate slot available and the new leagues scheduled to commence in mid-October, any budding new teams can contact Graham on 07891 321753, e-mail Chris at or visit for more information.
