THERE were goals galore last Thursday as the MB Socca Leagues saw high quality performances on show.

The result of the night was in the first division as title holders and seemingly unbeatable Real Ashington came unstuck as they were beaten 3-1 by new team The Grand.

The newcomers have hit the ground running and sit joint top after two games with six points.

Just shading them are Station Boys, who put 12 past Ashington All Stars with no reply.

Promoted Ashalona FC came out on top 5-2 against fellow promoted side Bayern Neverlusen.

In the second division, ACE United made it two wins in two as they defeated new team Morpeth FC.

Station FC sit joint top with them and they are looking to bounce straight to the top flight at the first attempt as they put five past new team The Portland in a 5-2 win.

The final game saw an evenly fought encounter but it was Sporting Abeergut who took all three points as they won 2-0 against Bubbles FC.
