REAL Ashington emphatically moved to the top of MB Socca League division one as they powered eight past Newbiggin Blaze last Thursday night.

Blaze were not helped when one of their players was red carded after only five minutes with the offender raising his hands against an oppenent in an aggressive manner.

This took nothing away from Real, who showed some tremendous finishing at The Hirst Welfare.

Joint top are Base FC, who are behind on goal difference as they were involved in a thrilling 2-2 draw against Sparta Hatbreath.

Hot on the heels of the top two are The Biggin, who are proving a hard nut to crack in their promotion season and they are only one point behind as they too drew 2-2 with Multiple Scoregasms.

Forming a break away four are North Seaton Elephant, who had no problems easing past new team Not In Service 7-0.

In division two it is a case of a battle of the Stations, and it is Station FC who have top slot at present as they recorded a great 5-1 win over Brazilliant to go three points clear.

Suprisingly Station Boys, who were joint top, were beaten 4-0 by bottom club A Town Rangers.

A moral boosting three points for Rangers as they picked up their first points of the season.

The Doggers sit comfortably in third spot and collected all three points as they defeated The Whipping Boys 3-1.

The final game saw Ashington All Stars defeat Newbiggin Bad Boys 3-0.
