In the semi-final of the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League SA Randolph Cup, Amble Tavern booked their place in the final.

They beat visitors Ashington RAOB 7-1, with all their goals coming before half-time, from Liam Brookes (2), Jordan Giles, Brad Wake, Josh Hay, Brad McClellend and Sean Taylor. Kyle Downey scored for the Buffs.

Amble will play the winners of next week’s other semi-final between Bedlington Market Tavern and Newsham Victory.

In the Saints Shield final, Whitehouse Ashington will meet Morpeth Conservative Club.

Whitehouse won 3-1 at Ashington Station Lounge, who had their keeper sent off for handball outside the box and a second player for two yellow cards. Nick Storey scored for Lounge, but goals from Michael Freathy (2) and Jordan Taylor won it for Whitehouse.

In the other semi-final, an Alex Laviers goal was enough to see Morpeth Conservative Club edge out Bedlington Breakers.

In the premier division, Ashington Town Central and Cramlington Green shared ten in a 5-5 draw. Michael Todd (3), Scott Neal and Brad Higgins scored for Central, while Karl Boughen (3), Dean Devlin and John Wilson were on target for Green.

Broomhill North End Trap beat visitors Newsham Victory 6-3 with goals from Darren Smith (2), Jonathan Graham, Kevin Bell, Gary McDonald and John Robinson. On target for the Vic were Mark Langlands, Daniel James and Lee Sellers.

Earsdon Red Lion went down at home by the odd goal in three against Bedlington Market Tavern. Dean Ellis scored for Lion, but a double from Daniel Dargue won it for Bedlington.
